6-Million BGP Paths Test

In this test EANTC engineers attempted to reproduce the Tolly Group TeraScale 6-Million BGP paths report.   The report explains the configuration used in the Tolly Group test to reach the reported number and provides actual BGP paths values that could be expected from a vanilla Force10's FToS software and hardware.

BGP Route Scalability and Stability Tests

These BGP route (not path) scalability tests provide a side-by-side BGP route scalability comparison between the Catalyst 6500 and the Force10 TeraScale E1200.

BGP Peer Scalability and Stability Tests

The BGP peer scalability tests attempt to duplicate Force10's claim to  support 1,500 BGP peers. In addition, the test shows how the Catalyst 6500 is able to maintain twice the number of BGP peers.
