An increasing number of service providers offer standardized Ethernet transport services complying with the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) services specifications. The MEF Ethernet services pose new challenges to service providers in such areas as bandwidth reservation, provisioning, multicast support and scalability.

With our Carrier Ethernet Seminar we aim in particular to address carrier network operators and administrators, network planners and test engineers who are interested in gaining a thorough overview as well as detailed knowledge about the Carrier Ethernet basis, standards and current developments.

The independent position of EANTC and its ongoing involvement with industry standardization forums, like MEF and IETF, ensures that the principles of Carrier Ethernet as well as the recent developments will be presented without any bias towards specific manufactures.

You will gain valuable knowledge based on our unequalled practical experiences in organizing multi-vendor interoperability test events for Carrier Ethernet World Congresses. At the end of the seminar you will have a thorough understanding of Carrier Ethernet as well as first hands-on experiences because of the practical exercises.

The seminar will take place in the seminar center of EANTC.

The seminar group size is restricted to a maximum of ten participants. This allows a constructive exchange between the delegates and the trainers. All seminars are generally held in English, although on request, they can be delivered in German. As a significant number of our delegates come from overseas, it should be noted that all of our seminar material is in English.
