Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2008

EANTC is already working on the next event  -- Carrier Ethernet World Congress Interoperability showcase (Sept 22-26, 2008, Berlin, Germany).
Given the fantastic success of the recent Mobile Backhaul Interoperability events we already started receiving requests for information from interested vendors for the Carrier Ethernet event. The following technical areas have been suggested thus far:

• A wide range of MEF Services will be constructed and tested in accordance to the upcoming Ethernet Service Definitions (phase 2)
• Ethernet OAM (Link and Service OAM)
• Ethernet OAM's Integration with Other Services
• Ethernet Local Management Interface (E-LMI)
• Diverse Access Solutions such as Fiber, Microwave, FTTx, Cable, xDSL
• Metro Transport Solutions (e.g MPLS, PBB-TE, T-MPLS)
• Multicast over Ethernet Services
• Ethernet Security
• Multi-vendor Provisioning and Fault Management Solutions
• Carrier Ethernet Services for Mobile Backhaul

The participating vendors will construct a test network to resemble a modern carrier's network over which the tests and demonstrations will be conducted.  The event is intended to be driven by the participating vendors hence test area suggestions are welcomed and encouraged.

As in previous events we will proceed the public showcase
with a two weeks hot-staging event in Berlin (Aug 25 - Sept 5).
