Singapore, November 2008: "Carrier Ethernet Services - The Future"
For the first time in the APAC-region, EANTC and 10 leading vendors are showcasing the results of the latest interoperability test focused on "The Future of Carrier Ethernet Services". The network built with all components of a modern end-to-end Carrier Ethernet solution is demonstrated live at the Carrier Ethernet World APAC taking place in Concorde Hotel Singapore November 12-14, 2008.
During the two-week hot staging event at EANTC in August 2008, participating vendors verified realistic multi-vendor test scenarios in 20 different areas creating a single multi-vendor network consisting of backbone, metro and access network components to facilitate any-to-any interoperability testing.
The participating vendors: Alcatel-Lucent, ECI Telecom, Ericsson, Harris Stratex Networks, Ixia, Juniper Networks, Nortel, Spirent Communications, Tejas Networks, and Tellabs demonstrate the following technologies:
- MEF Services including E-Lines and E-LAN
- Video transport over E-LAN
- E-NNI Mechanisms
- MPLS, PBB-TE and T-MPLS transport
- Ethernet OAM
- Resiliency for all three transport solutions
