Cloud Computing Testing

EANTC and Spirent have recently collaborated in an effort to define data center and cloud computing test methodologies.  A series of tests were conducted from Spirent's lab in Calabasas, CA and demonstrated at INTEROP Las Vegas, April 2010.

Arista Networks DCM-7508 384-port 10Gigabit Ethernet switch test

EANTC successfully tested the performance of Arista's new high-density DCM-7508 384-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch.

Test Results of Alcatel-Lucent's 1850 Transport Service Switch

EANTC effectively verified the performance of the packet transport protection mechanisms of Alcatel-Lucent's 1850 Transport Service Switch (TSS). In January 2010, the tests were performed at EANTC's lab in Berlin.

Carrier Ethernet Global Interconnect Showcase at the Ethernet Wholesale Summit in Paris

In January 2010, EANTC staged a centralized Global Interconnect test infrastructure at ancotel‘s carrier hotel in Frankfurt/Main to support test execution and public presentation of the results. The test was open to service provider participants only.

The test results were highlighted at the Ethernet Wholesale Summit in Paris, February 10-12, 2010 and included live public demonstrations conducted through remote test management and HD videoconferencing to ancotel‘s facility in Frankfurt. 

MPLS and Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2010

During a two week hotstaging in January 2010, engineers from the 13 participating vendors came to EANTC's lab in Berlin to perform a wide variety of interoperabitility tests, conducted over a realistic test network. In the center of attention were the latest developments in MPLS and Ethernet transport and services.

The results of EANTC's public multi-vendor interoperability test were presented live in a Showcase at the MPLS & Ethernet World Congress in Paris February 10-12, 2010.
