Who owns EANTC?  We are a German public limited company (AG) located in Berlin. Until 1999 EANTC was part of the Interdepartmental Research Center for Networking and Multimedia Technology of the Technical University of Berlin (TUB), Germany. In 1999, we "spun off" from the TUB.

EANTC shares are not publicly traded and are held in the hands of the senior management with a small minority of external private investors. By issuing registered shares with restricted transferability, we have been able to ensure that there should not be any change to this situation.

Our management structure  EANTC's joint managing directors are Carsten  Rossenhoevel and Gabriele Schrenk.  Gabriele is responsible for Finance and consulting while Carsten supervises research and development of test tools and manages EANTC's relationships with test customers from across the manufacturing sector.

EANTC's chairman, Herbert Almus, maintains EANTC's close relationship with the Technical University Berlin.

 

A little about our history  In 1991, our Chairman Herbert Almus founded EANTC at the Interdepartmental Research Center for Networking and Multimedia Technology of the Technical University of Berlin, Germany. In addition to research and development, EANTC tested and certified FDDI systems.

From 1993, we expanded our activities to include ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) and other high-speed networking technologies. Our test customers included almost all leading manufacturers of network components. The network technology sector particularly appreciated the highly professional, practical seminars that we provided.

New special areas of our services include Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), IP (Internet Protocol) switching, Triple Play, Voice over DSL and Voice over IP. Since being established as a company in our own right, EANTC AG has extended the range of services we offer and today we are a centre of network technology expertise with a wide customer base comprising both manufacturers and users.
